My Own Psalm

Sometimes faith feels like a long winter—silent, uncertain, and slow to thaw. But even here, hope waits beneath the frost.

0:00/1:34

How long, O Lord does this winter last?

Will I ever feel Your warmth again?

Does this desert have no end?

I sensed Your hand guiding me into it; Must I take over now?

How long, O Lord until the mosaic comes into focus?

When will even this one piece make sense?

Does the Weaver still sit at His loom?

Or did I ruin the tapestry when You weren’t looking?

Let me not forget your past faithfulness to me.

For I remember when the kaleidoscope made sense before.

Yes. Yes. My soul believes …

So it too shall make sense again one day.

I have gathered the kindling;

Will you strike the match?

You’ve given the vision. You’ve given the dream.

Shepherd me now, O Jesus, to the place You’re preparing.

I trust You, Shepherd.

I perceive this to be holy ground.

My soul feels the Way because the Way dwells within.

Behold, I see the color green.

The voice behind the post

The voice behind the post

Jeff lives in Allen, TX with his wife Stacey and their five kids, ranging from college to grade school. His career has taken him from big accounting firms to small businesses, to serving as a teaching and recovery pastor, and today he works at Gloo after his company Igniter was acquired. Jeff’s faith journey has been just as dynamic. After experiencing God’s rescuing hand from a double life of gambling and stealing, he entered a season of helping shepherd others in their pursuit of Christ. Now, through Rafa House and Voice & Vine, he’s rediscovering the ancient rhythms of healing and restoration—learning again to tell his story and trust God to use it to bring wholeness to himself and others.
